Provident Bank Awards $63K in Grants For NJ NonProfits
As part of an ongoing goal to foster economic and community development, Provident Bank awarded $63,000 in grants to eight nonprofit organizations in New Jersey that are making a difference.
Through its Community Partnership Program, the Iselin-based financial institution seeks to empower communities within its footprint to assist in promoting long-term prosperity.
Through the initiative, Provident’s grants support a range of groups dedicated to community development, economic empowerment, financial literacy, and education and support for housing and homeownership in low and moderate-income communities.
According to Provident, the following organizations received funding:
- Housing Community Development Network of New Jersey
- Urban League of Essex County
- Ironbound Community Corp.
- Central Jersey Housing Resource Center
- Norwescap (Sussex and Morris counties)
- New Jersey Community Capital
- Invest Newark
- Housing Partnership
The bank announced the awards in an Oct. 23 press release. Provident Bank Senior Vice President and Community Development officer Roxanne Camejo said, “Each of these organizations is creating meaningful impact in their communities, from advancing affordable housing initiatives to expanding access to education and financial resources. Provident is proud to stand alongside them in driving positive change and empowering individuals and families to build stronger, more resilient futures.”
