October 2023 Unemployment

Morris County’s unemployment rate for October 2023 was 3.7%, down from 3.9% in September 2023 and up from 2.4% in October 2022.
In October 2023, Morris County had the second lowest unemployment rate in New Jersey at 3.7%, behind only Hunterdon County at 3.4%. Cape May County had the highest unemployment rate at 6.0%.
New Jersey’s unemployment rate for October 2023 was 4.4%, down from 4.6% in September 2023 and up from 3.0% in October 2022.
Morris County’s total labor force was 272,700 in October 2023, up from 271,000 in September 2023 and 271,000 in October 2022.
