- Morris County’s unemployment rate for October 2024 was 3.5%, up from 3.4% in September 2024 and down from 3.8% in October 2023.
- In October 2024, Morris County was tied with Monmouth County as having the second lowest unemployment rate in New Jersey at 3.5%, behind only Hunterdon County at 3.2%. Cape May County and Cumberland County were tied for the highest unemployment rate at 5.6%.
- New Jersey’s unemployment rate for October 2024 was 4.2%, up from 4.1% in September 2024 and down from 4.5% in October 2023.
- Morris County’s total labor force was 274,600 in October 2024, up from 270,700 in September 2024 and 274,000 in October 2023.
