Atlantic Health and K Health Launch AI Platform to Improve Access to Care

Atlantic Health and K Health, a leader in AI-enabled care delivery, announced the launch of two transformative innovations: Atlantic Health PatientGPT, a first-of-its-kind clinical AI tool, and Virtual Primary Care, which will enable convenient, any time access to trusted primary care physicians.

Atlantic Health PatientGPT is integrated with the health system’s electronic health record and patient portal, delivering trusted, personalized health information grounded in each patient’s medical profile, helping individuals explore and better understand symptoms and health concerns. The tool seamlessly connects with Atlantic Health services and care teams, and when needed, empowers individuals to schedule same-day, same-hour appointments with Atlantic Virtual Primary Care in just a few clicks.

Together, Atlantic Health PatientGPT and Virtual Primary Care form a connected digital front door to Atlantic Health, creating a centralized starting point for patients to begin by asking a health question and be guided all the way through to receiving the care they need.

As the first platform of its kind in New Jersey, it expands access while providing trusted guidance for a coordinated healthcare journey. As Atlantic Health continually strives to meet patients in ways most easily accessible to them, these new technologies also allow the system to achieve operational and clinical efficiencies. Not only are patients able to connect to Atlantic Health without the need of a physical location, but they are conveniently and quickly connected to those services most appropriate for their unique needs.

“The best use of AI in healthcare makes care more human, not less,” said Saad Ehtisham, President and CEO, Atlantic Health. “Technology should strengthen the connection between patients and clinicians, reduce barriers to care, and help people get the right care at the right time. These innovations reflect our commitment to making care more accessible while enhancing consumer experience, and they are a meaningful step toward our vision of becoming a national leader in healthcare.”

“PatientGPT is a game changer in how patients get high-quality answers to their health and lifestyle questions. It’s grounded in their own medical record and connected end-to-end into Atlantic Health’s care delivery system,” said Allon Bloch, co-founder and CEO of K Health. “This changes how patients access high-quality medicine, whether the need is acute, chronic, or preventive, and provides 24/7 support from everyday care to complex needs.”

“Trust is the whole game in clinical AI. Patients and clinicians have to know the technology is safe before it can be useful,” said Ran Shaul, co-founder and chief product officer at Health. “PatientGPT is now live across multiple leading health systems, and every deployment is built on the same foundation: clinician-led decisioning and policy documentation.”
